Miguel Algarin is on the research team for the Association for Private Capital
Investment in Latin America (LAVCA) where he handles investment data and
the generation of reports and presentations for LAVCA member investors
and Latin America’s private capital community. In this role, he represents
LAVCA as a speaker at investor meetings and events and as a source for
media. Prior to joining LAVCA, Miguel worked at AllianceBernstein in the
Private Client Wealth division where he supported over 500 clients. He also
worked as a government contractor in the Washington DC metro area which
fulfilled IT intelligence contracts for the US government and spent time at
the Argentina at Consejo Argentino para las Relaciones Internacionales
(CARI), a leading Argentine think-tank. Miguel has his Master of Arts,
International Relations & International Economics, from Johns Hopkins
University – School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Bachelor
of Arts, History, from the University of Virginia.
